Student Learns He Was Abducted 13 Years Ago After Applying to College

A 2002 child abduction case was finally solved when the abductee, Julian Hernandez, tried to apply to colleges using a phony social security number provided to him by his father. So reports USA Today.

The abductee’s father, 53-year-old Bobby Hernandez, is being held on false records charges in Ohio, where he and his son have lived since Julian’s mother reported him missing in Alabama 13 years ago. The senior Hernandez allegedly provided false information to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles to obtain a fake identification card. He will be extradited to Alabama, where he will face kidnapping charges that could carry a prison term of one to ten years.
