A video of the dressing down and sentencing went viral on the Internet. The victim, who has already served her sentence, told NBC News that she was too anxious and depressed to comply with the subpoena to testify against her child’s father, who allegedly attacked and threatened her with a kitchen knife.
She says that if she were involved in another domestic abuse situation she would be reluctant to involve authorities.
