Airforce Settles After Contractor Killed in Live-fire Exercise

The Air Force has been found responsible for the death of contractor Charles Holbrook after a live-fire exercise went awry. So reports the Yahoo! News.

AirforceHolbrook was a retired master sergeant and once served as a Tactical Air Control Party airman. An F-16 student pilot misidentified his target during a nighttime training mission and accidentally fired upon Holbrook’s location.

Holbrook’s family settled a wrongful death lawsuit for “an undisclosed amount less than $25 million,” the article states.
