'Lady A' Band, Artist Engaged in Legal Battle Over Moniker

The band formerly known as Lady Antebellum is suing the artist Lady A after an agreement over the latter moniker could not be reached. So reports CBS News.

Lady AntebellumAn effort to come to terms with blues singer Anita White, who has used the name Lady A for decades, fell apart after White asked for $10 million. The band has held a trademark for the use of Lady A since 2011, and recently officially dropped “Antebellum” from its name in an effort to eliminate any association with slave ownership.
