Brown University student-athletes retained Jeffrey Kessler, a “high-powered” sports lawyer, with the hopes of reinstating varsity sports that were transitioned to club status. So reports the Providence Journal.
Kessler, of Winston & Strawn, represented Tom Brady in the infamous “Deflategate” scandal. The school allegedly engaged in a “years-long secret process” to recruit athletes to programs slated to disappear.
