Woman Sentenced to Prison for Lying on Resume

Veronica Hilda Theriault was convicted for lying on her resume to land a high-paying job in Australia and sentenced to at least a year in prison. So reports CNN.

She was convicted for “deception, dishonesty, and abuse of public office” with respect to her application for a regional government job as chief information officer. The job paid $270,000 Australian dollars. In addition to fabricating parts of her resume, she was said to have posed as an employer to give herself a “glowing” review of her past work performance.
