The lawsuit alleges the child, a boy identified as Baby J.S.M., did not recieve "proper medical care" after being born and cites negligence on behalf of those expected to care for Sanchez. An internal investigation found there were policy violations by Denver Sheriff Department personnel.

Diana Sanchez, who was left to give birth alone in a Colorodo jail, has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court. So reports USA Today.
