Rural NY Facing Substantial Attorney Shortage: Survey

A survey from Albany Law School found law firms servicing areas outside of New York City are overburdened and dealing with major technology and funding issues. So reports The Times Union.

The survey also found that most of the firms included had no more than five attorneys employed. One expert cited in the article called the situation a “crisis,” adding that there are too few attorneys looking to step into the needed roles. A new 27-member panel by the State Bar Association was recently launched to examine the issue.
