Driver: Police Mistook a Hash Brown for a Cell Phone

Jason Stiber, of Connecticut, is fighting a traffic ticket he received after allegedly driving while distracted. Stiber claims he was wrongfully accused after police mistakenly thought his hash brown was a cell phone. So reports NBC News.

The man was pulled over in Westport last April. He has already spent $1,000 fighting the $300 ticket handed down to him by police and upheld by a magistrate. The driver is arguing phone records and a McDonald’s receipt will prove his innocence.
