Legal Definition of ‘Rape’ at Heart of Bizarre Sexual Encounter

The definition of “rape” in 41 states, including Indiana, has come under fire after a college student claims she is suffering anxiety from an apparently-legal, uncommon sexual encounter. So reports The New York Post.

Abigail Finney said she fell asleep in her boyfriend’s bed when she claims she felt someone “grope” her from behind. Assuming it was her boyfriend, she had sex with the individual. However, it was not her boyfriend--it was Donald Grant Ward, a friend of her boyfriend. After being tried on two counts of rape, Ward was ultimately acquitted, and Finney has since spoken up about the encounter.
