Lawyer Detained in Cuba After Accusation He Killed Girlfriend

James Ray III, a lawyer from New Jersey, was arrested in Cuba and returned stateside after being accused of killing his girlfriend, Angela Bledsoe. So reports NBC News. 

Ray was said to have fled to Mexico before heading to Cuba. An arrest warrant for "unlawful flight to avoid prosecution" was issued prior to his detention.

Prosecutors will seek to hold Ray without bail considering the nature of the accusation and the "propensity to flee the jurisdiction."
