AG Sessions Calls on Terwilliger to Lead Eastern District of Virginia

Zachary Terwilliger has been tapped by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to be the U.S. attorney for Eastern District of Virginia. So reports CNN.

Both Democratic senators in Virginia endorsed him for the position. Terwilliger served as associate deputy AG and chief of staff for Rod Rosenstein, who has a prominent role in the Russia investigation.

Terwilliger has worked to prosecute violent criminals, MS-13 members, and oversaw day-to-day operations of his department. He will now work one of the most "high-profile" jurisdictions in the country, where President Trump's campaign chairmen is facing criminal charges.
