Additional Witnesses to Testify in David Copperfield Injury Suit

Magician David Copperfield will testify in his own defense after a British tourist said he was injured while participating in a 2013 trick. So reports CBS News.

The plaintiff’s attorney said two other people are also claiming they were hurt during the illusion. The MGM Grand, where Copperfield performs, and the magician are both being sued.

According to the complaint, Gavin Cox slipped while being hastily guided through a dark passageway and suffered injuries to his brain, spine and shoulder. His medical bills cost $1.3 million. Copperfield claims the pathway was safe and he is not at fault.
