Bernstein said statements made publically about her violated the settlement and portrayed her as a “liar and politically motivated extortionist.” O’Reilly has denied numerous harassment claims and said he chose to settle them to protect his children.
Bernstein’s allegation against the former Fox star did not involve any sexual mistreatment. Bernstein claimed she suffered “reputational harm, emotional distress, physical sickness and loss of income” as a result of statements from O’Reilly and the network.
