Turkish Trader to Testify Against Co-defendant in Iran Sanctions Case

Turkish gold trader Reza Zarrab pleaded guilty after participating in a plot to evade U.S. sanctions of Iran and will testify against his co-defendant, Turkish banking executive Mehmet Hakan Atilla. So reports NBC News.

Zarrab was also said to have handed out “tens of millions” in bribes and bribed corrections officers to bring him alcohol and a cell phone to use. Separately, special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating if Turkish officials paid Mike Flynn, who, at the time, was under consideration to become National Security Advisor, to get the case dropped.
