Waymo Asked for $1B, Apology from Uber in Trade Secrets Case: Report  

Google’s sibling company Waymo, dedicated to autonomous vehicles, asked Uber for a $1 billion settlement and public apology after a legal dispute over trade secrets. So reports The Hill.

Waymo also allegedly asked for an independent monitor to ensure Uber doesn’t benefit from technology allegedly taken by an employee leaving Waymo and given to Uber in the reportedly rejected settlement. The trial has been delayed until Dec. 4.
