Cruise Robocall Lawsuit Nets $76M

The Cruise Call Class Action Lawsuit will force the Caribbean Cruise Line and two co-defendants to pay as much as $76 million to those who received calls offering free cruises. So reports CBS affiliate WNCN.

Each call received will net $500. The inbound calls took place between August 2011 and August 2012. According to information from the FTC, “most of the robocalls you get are against the law with a few exceptions like political, emergency, school and charity calls.”
