Short-lived Penn. AG Beemer Settles in ‘Lewd Email’ Probe

Acting Pennsylvania Attorney General Bruce Beemer settled with Buckley Sandler, who was tasked with investigating a series of “lewd emails” sent on government servers. So reports Newsworks.

Beemer sought a reduction of the $2 million price tag on a report from special prosecutor Doug Gansler, which Beemer called “too broad.”

Gansler will get $1.4 million in addition to the $380,000 he’s already received. Beemer thanked the governor and state Senate for the opportunity to serve as acting attorney general and also said he will recommend incoming Attorney General Josh Shapiro allocate a special team to investigate political corruption.
