Man Sues Teen, Snapchat for Crash Involving App's Speed Feature

The app's feature allows users to post how fast they are moving at the time a photo is taken. The accident left the man, Wentworth Maynard, with permanent brain damage as McGee was attempting to get her Mercedes Benz to 100 mph for her post. At the time of the crash she was going 107 mph.

A Snapchat representative said an in-app warning discourages users from using the speed filter while driving.
