The boy had a skin condition that required him to be hospitalized, and during his time at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center under mother’s care, his condition worsened. His health has improved, though, since his mother has been in custody.
Due to his mother’s alleged tube tampering, he had severe dehydration and diarrhea, and increased risk of infection from frequent diaper changes. She pleaded guilty to child endangerment and is no longer permitted at the hospital. The boy’s father is pursing guardianship.
