Calif. Death Penalty Law Ruled Unconstitutional

A federal judge has held that California’s death penalty law is unconstitutional. So reports the San Francisco Gate.

The ruling had no immediate impact on cases; they have been halted since 2006 because of problems with lethal injections procedures. If upheld on appeal, however, it could end a California capital punishment system that has been approved by the voters three times.
