Lawyer Bills for 29-Hour Workday, Gets Smackdown

Disciplinary action has been filed against a private Dayton, Ohio, attorney who billed the state for a 29-hour workday. So reports the Associated Press.

 

The state had hired the lawyer, Ben Swift, to represent people who couldn't afford representation when its public defenders weren't available. Swift is claiming that he completed the work detailed on his bills, and that the mistake is the result of messy record keeping.
