Florida Man Faces Time in Mid Eastern Prison for Facebook Rant About Employer

A Florida man who complained on Facebook while he was in his home state about his employer in the United Arab Emirates was jailed for his social media griping upon returning to the Middle East. So reports The New York Post.

The man, helicopter mechanic Ryan Pate, faces up to five years in prison and hefty fines for allegedly violating an Emirates law against slandering your employer. He is now out on bail after spending 10 days is jail. Pate says that, in his Facebook posts, he called his bosses at Global Aerospace Logistics “backstabbers” and warned other contractors not to work for them.
