Cancer Patient Sues Surgeon-Employer Who Fired Her After Diagnosis

The marketing rep for a neurological surgery center in Long Island, N.Y. has filed suit against her former employer for allegedly tormenting her and ultimately firing her after he learned she had been diagnosed with stage-three cancer. So reports The New York Daily News.

The plaintiff claims her former boss gossiped about her disease and blamed her for the rise in his health insurance premiums. She says her cancer is in remission, and that she’s seeking new employment.
