No Death Penalty For Selenski

A Pennsylvania man who had allegedly buried two bodies in his backyard will not receive the death penalty. So reports the Associated Press.

Hugo Selenski was found guilty of strangling a pharmacist and killing his girlfriend in 2002, allegedly seeking money the pharmacist earned while running an illegal drug ring. Instead, Selenski is expected to spend life in prison when formally sentenced, although he is planning to appeal the verdict.

Other bodies have been found on his property, although he beat charges asserting he had also killed two other drug dealers. He has been in prison for the last 20 years for a bank robbery and home invasion. There has not been an execution in Pennsylvania since 1999 and there is a moratorium on the death penalty enacted by the governor.
