Cop Suspended 9 Months After Prostitute Steals His Gun

Keith Barrow, the head of the police union in a small Northern California town, was suspended for having his gun stolen by a woman he paid for sex in a hotel in Reno. So reports the San Jose Mercury News.

The prostitute stole Barrow’s gun – as well as his badge, handcuffs, and two clips of ammunition – while he slept after an encounter with her nine months ago. The gun was recovered the next day after the prostitute’s pimp accidentally shot himself in the leg with it, but Barrow remained on active duty until last week, when his department finally concluded an internal investigation into what happened that night and determined that Barrow had participated in "conduct unbecoming an officer off-duty."
