French Court Nixes ‘Nutella’ As Baby’s Name

A French court has ruled that a couple may not name their daughter Nutella because it would result in “mockery or disobliging remarks.” So reports The Guardian.

The registrar who recorded the baby’s birth brought it to a prosecutor’s attention. In France, parents may name their child whatever they choose unless it is deemed contrary to the child’s interests.
