Suicide Victim’s Mom Sues School

A mother is suing her daughter's elite public high school in New York City for negligence after the girl was caught cheating in class and subsequently drowned herself in the Hudson River. So reports New York’s Daily News.

After being reprimanded for using her cellphone during an exam, the student wrote a suicide note on her German language quiz before leaving the school to kill herself. Despite the fact that teachers were in immediate possession of the victim’s note and knew that she had attempted suicide before, no one stopped her exit, according to court papers.
