Justice Kennedy to Vote for Marriage Equality, Against Affirmative Action?

With Justice Anthony Kennedy’s colleagues on the U.S. Supreme Court evenly split between the conservative and liberal camps, his vote will likely determine the outcome of the four landmark cases still to be decided before the end of the Court’s term in June, UPI reports.

 

If Justice Kennedy’s track record is any indication of which side he’ll come out on in each of those cases, marriage equality supporters will be pleased, affirmative action proponents will be frustrated, and venues with a history of suppressing the voting rights of minorities will no longer have to obtain judicial permission to change how people vote in their jurisdictions.
