Ex-Rep. Gowdy Can't Join Legal Team Until January: Trump

Former congressman Trey Gowdy will reportedly join President Donald Trump’s legal team as he faces an impeachment inquiry, but he will not be able to start until next year. So reports CNBC.

Trump said federal lobbying rules prohibit Gowdy from working on his defense team at this time. Gowdy was fired as a Fox News contributor over a possible conflict of interest between his work for the network and his pending legal role.
