Washington Considers 'Human Composting' Law

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, who has made climate change a key part of his 2020 presidential platform, is considering putting his John Hancock on a bill to permit “human composting.” So reports Newsweek.

The idea behind the bill is to offer an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional burial and cremation. The bill would cut down on cemetery land use, and is “inspired by existing agricultural technology” to recompose bodies to the soil.
