Jacob A. Stein, a Washington lawyer who gained notoriety for winning an acquittal in the infamous Watergate scandal, securing immunity for Monica Lewsinsky along with many other notable accomplishments, has died. So reports The New York Times.

Stein was 94 years old when died of multiple myeloma. Stein earned a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University in 1947 before graduating from its law school a year later. He also served as bar president in the District of Columbia.
