Yahoo Ups Proposed Data-breach Deal to $117M After Rejection

After a U.S. District Judge rejected a more than $50 million settlement agreement between Yahoo and plaintiffs, a new agreement for $117.5 million has been reached. So reports Ars Technica.

The lawsuit stems from a data breach impacting the account of 3 billion users. The agreement, if accepted, would create the largest common fund to stem from a data breach. The proposed class includes Israeli and U.S. small businesses and residents who created accounts between 2012 and 2016.
