Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, who goes by the name “Joe Exotic,” was found guilty for trying to arrange the murder of Carole Baskin, who founded a Florida animal sanctuary. So reports the Associated Press.

Maldonado-Passage once ran for governor of Oklahoma. Baskin, according to the article, had criticized Maldonado-Passage for his treatment of animals. Separately, he was also found to have violated the Endangered Species Act for offering to sell tiger cubs, and was found guilty for the death of five tigers.
