Lawmakers Set Sights on Eyeball Tattoo Ban

Washington state lawmakers are considering a new law to ban scleral tattoos, citing potential ocular damage caused from the practice. So reports the Fox News.

The tattoos dye or scratch the white layer of the eyeball outside the cornea. One Canadian model lost her eyesight from a botched attempt. Indiana and Oklahoma already ban the practice, and the Washington bill will impose up to a $10,000 penalty for those giving the tattoos.
