Salk Settles Last Gender Discrimination Case from 2017

Salk Institute for Biological Studies molecular biologist Beverly Emerson's gender discrimination lawsuit against the institute concluded with a settlement—the last of three "high-profile" cases filed in 2017. So reports Nature.

The agreement was announced on Nov. 21 for the case filed in July of 2017. Emerson argued women at Salk had limited wages, research funding and laboratory space. The details of the settlement were not reported.
