Another Mistrial in J&J Talc Saga

For the second week in a row, jurors were deadlocked in a case regarding Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder. So reports Bloomberg.

Jurors were asked to weigh claims that the powder contained carcinogenic asbestos. The 8-4 deadlocked jury was unable to deliver a $12 million award to the plaintiff, who blames the power for his mesothelioma.

Recently, a Missouri jury awarded $4.69 billion to more than 20 women who claimed their ovarian cancer was a direct result of using the company’s products.
