Las Vegas Attorney Suspended for Showing Gun at Deposition

James Pengilly, a Las Vegas lawyer, was suspended for six months and one day for misconduct including flashing a gun during a deposition at his office. So reports the ABA Journal.

Pengilly also reportedly used derogatory language directed at his litigation opponent and exhibited other "appalling" behavior, prompting the Nevada Supreme Court suspension. The lawyer allegedly called a deponent a “dipshit” and “Big Bird." Pengilly said he carries the gun because his father worked in a law office where eight people were killed by a gunman.
