Justice Dept. Backs Asian-American Discrimination Suit Against Harvard

The Justice Department is throwing its weight behind a lawsuit challenging the admissions process at Harvard University. So reports Bloomberg.

The U.S. government is arguing the school is biased against Asian-Americans and violated the law by using a "subjective personal rating system." Specifically, the Justice Department took issue with rating factors such as “likability” and “human qualities." Harvard has filed to have the case dismissed.
