Sony, Estate Off the Hook for 'Fake' Michael Jackson Songs

A trio of appeals court judges said three disputed Michael Jackson songs are not the responsibility of the musician's estate or Sony. So reports Rolling Stone. 

The ruling states Sony and Jackson's estate cannot be accountable for the allegedly fake songs “Breaking News,” “Keep Your Head Up” and “Monster.”

The judges declined to comment on the "actual responsibility" for the allegedly fake songs, but merely their eligibility in terms of the suit. The authenticity of the songs, which are at the heart of a years-long class-action suit, was not determined.
