Canada Dry Facing Lawsuit Over Ginger-less Ginger Ale

Julie Fletcher, of New York, is suing the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. for misleading consumers about its Canada Dry ginger ale. So reports USA Today.

Fletcher claims she believed the product was made with ginger root and, as a result, was healthier than other sodas. She contends there is a "minuscule" amount of ginger flavor extract in the soda and is largely made from flavor extracts not derived from real ginger.

Additional lawsuits stemming from Massachusetts and California make similar allegations.
