Late MLB Pitcher’s Estate Settles Wrongful Death Case

Attorney Ralph Fernandez, who represents late Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez’ estate, said an agreement was reached in a wrongful death case filed by the families of two other men who died in a boating accident involving the former All-Star. So reports the Associated Press. 

The attorney, at one point, claimed investigators were premature in their conclusions and altered evidence to support their claims regarding Fernandez, who was said to be operating the boat. The details of the settlement were not disclosed. An attorney representing the estates of Emilio Macias and Eduardo Rivero, declined to comment.
