Honey Badger Don’t Care, But Appeals Court Does

Christopher Gordon, who narrated the viral “honey badger” video that achieve widespread notoriety in 2011, won an appeal against Papyrus-Recycled Greetings Inc. after alleging it infringed on his trademark. So reports Tampa Bay Times.

The company is a division of American Greetings. Gordon initially lost a court case in U.S. District Court, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit overturned that decision and said the case should be tried before a jury. Whether the company added any artistic value to Gordon’s imitation of the honey badger will be at the heart of the case.
