Legal Employment Up in June

In June, the U.S. legal industry added 4,800 jobs amid continually rising national job growth. So reports The American Lawyer.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 1,141,400 legal service workers were employed in June. The figure includes paralegals, lawyers and secretaries among other law-related professions.

The legal industry has experienced employment fluctuations of between 1.13 and 1.14 million people from December 2016 to present. Year-over-year, employment compared to June 2017 is up from the 1,139,500 workers employed in the legal services industry last year.
