Jay-Z Says the SEC is Hung Up On His Fame

Hip hop star Jay-Z filed an affidavit claiming he cannot logistically comply with a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into his $200 million sale of Rocawear clothing. So reports The New York Daily News.

The SEC subpoenaed him to testify about the transaction, but Jay-Z said rehearsals in California for his global tour will make it impossible. Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, said the recording artist already agreed to a day of answering questions, but the SEC wants more time. He said the agency is fixated on Jay-Z’s fame.
