DeVos said there were "systemic issues" surrounding how the school handled reports of sexual violence at the hands of Nassar. An earlier Title IX complaint was opened in July, but it is unclear if it was related to Nassar's conduct.
The school also faces an investigation into potential failures to report crimes on campus per the Clery Act. Nassar, who was accused by more than 150 girls and women of sexual abuse, was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison.
