Bermuda Repeals Same-sex Marriage a Year After Permitting It

Bermuda has repealed same-sex marriage after initially approving it last year, making it the first nation to outlaw previously established gay unions. So reports The New York Daily News.

Some are concerned Bermuda, a self-governing British territory, may face economic backlash for the decision, similar to that felt by North Carolina after it recently passed a "transgender bathroom bill." Marriages performed while same-sex unions were legal will still be recognized and those opposing the repeal are considering fighting the law in court.
