Judge Orders Gag on Negotiations in Massive Opioid Suit

As negotiations take place to address the hundreds of federal lawsuits brought against opioid manufacturers and distributors, U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster ordered all parties "maintain strict confidentiality” as talks progress. So reports Forbes.

Parallel investigations, multiple lawsuits, and the diverse interests of private attorneys and state attorneys general muddy the complex talks, which will be conducted by a recently announced team of lawyers. More than 200 municipalities and other entities are listed as plaintiffs.
