Ex-Michigan Lawyer Arrested for Stealing Clients' Settlements

Jason Jonca, a former attorney in Michigan, was arrested for allegedly forging the signatures of his clients and stealing their settlement money. So reports The New York Daily News.

He was arraigned on felony charges after a lengthy fraud investigation. Three plaintiffs represented by Jonca involved in automobile accidents allege they did not receive any money after settlements were reached between the parties’ insurance companies.

Jonca faces five counts of forgery and two counts of larceny. If convicted, he faces as many as 14 years in prison.
