Zeke, NFL Trade Legal Barbs Over 6-game Suspension  

Cowboy’s running back Ezekiel Elliott filed a lawsuit against the NFL in federal court claiming the league conspired against him before handing down a six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. So reports SB Nation.

The NFL countered with a motion to dismiss, prompting the player’s union to file a motion showing why the court should act. Elliott was suspended after domestic violence allegations, but was not charged with a crime when the credibility of his accuser was called into question.

His attorneys allege the suspension process was unfair. The running back was able to play during the NFL’s Week 1 while the matter was pending.
